These Bridal Gowns Made Solely With Solar Energy

New Solar Installation Will Offset 100% of the Company’s Energy Usage

Solar panels installed on Justin Alexander roof

New York, NY (December 16, 2021) You are cordially invited to celebrate the sustainable marriage of Justin Alexander Group, a bridal fashion designer, manufacturer and distributer, and their new solar array. SolarKal, a commercial solar energy advisor, handled the strategy and vendor procurement process for the solar rooftop installation at the North American headquarters of Justin Alexander.

The team at Justin Alexander understood that the company’s success didn’t rely exclusively on  the bottom line. They recognized a responsibility to address sustainability and work towards  setting an example for the bridal industry. This adds on to their current practices as a cruelty free company. They also donate extra fabric to schools, source locally to their factories to  reduce shipping of raw materials and decrease their carbon emissions by maximizing sea  shipments. SolarKal was able to advise Justin Alexander on an approach that aligned with its  capital expenditures strategy and sustainable commitment.

The new 83.6-kilowatt system will generate roughly 100,000 kilowatt-hours of clean energy  annually and offset 100% of the building’s electricity use. The solar system will have paid for  itself after only 4 years. Justin Alexander’s solar panel installation is the equivalent of not  burning 80,000 pounds of coal each year, or planting 86 acres of trees

The company saw additional savings from New Jersey’s Transition Renewable Energy  Certificates (TREC) program, one of the top solar incentive programs in the country. The  program will provide the company with consistent payments from the state utility for its reported usage.

Yaniv Kalish, SolarKal’s CEO shared that “When I got into solar 15 years ago, I never  imagined that one day my daughters could get their wedding dresses from a company like  Justin Alexander. We are honored to add solar energy to the already great work that Justin  Alexander is doing to reduce their carbon footprint.”

Justin CEO of Justin Alexander said, “working with SolarKal was a pleasure. They showcased the  advantages of switching to solar and helped us find the right vendor to implement with from a  price, timeline, and quality perspective. Their mission aligns with our company commitment to  sustainability.”
